Dutch team V8 Racing tested their Callaway Corvette C7 GT3-R at Barcelona yesterday at the Curbstone Events-run test day in the wake of the season finale for the GT World Challenge Europe.
The Velocity yellow-coloured car was pedalled by the team’s regular 2021 GT4 European Series Camaro GT4 pairing Jop Rappange and Thijmen Nabuurs, joined on driving duties by team stalwart Nicky Pastorelli.
Whilst the car’s presence at the event has prompted speculation that the team are set to target a GT World Challenge entry in 2022, DSC understands that a season in the International GT Open and/ or Italian GT are the more likely options at present.
Either way the presence of the striking Corvette on any grid will add welcome variety wherever the team decide to go.
