A revised Balance of Performance for the GTE Pro and GTE Am classes has been published which reverses approximately 50% of the turbo boost changes introduced for last weekend’s 6 Hours of Bahrain.
The changes come into place immediately and will be in place for the season finale this weekend the 8 Hours of Bahrain.
The changes for the 6 Hour race were roundly criticised by Ferrari, the race in the class was conducted as two formation runs between the factory Porsche which finished one-two and the following Ferraris.
The World Championship standings for GTE manufacturers see Porsche lead Ferrari by a single point with the Porsche Team on 231 points, AF Corse Ferrari on 230.
In the Drivers World Championship the #51 Ferrari crew of James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi lead by a single point, 139 to the 138 of Porsche’s Kevin Estre and Neel Jani.
There has been a similar proportional adjustment to the GTE AM Ferraris.
No amendment has been made to the BoP for Porsche in either class.
