IMSA Release Daytona Roar Test Entry List

IMSA has released the provisional 61 car entry list for the Roar before the Rolex 24 Test, a list that fills in many of the remaining unannounced driver slots for the following weekend’s race.

GTP – 9 Cars

The final remaining pieces in the puzzle was clarification of how the BMW Team RLL cars will be crewed – Colton Herta’s role is confirmed now as doing double duty in both the #24 and #25 cars for the test at least, the #24 alongside Philipp Eng, Augusto Farfus MCO and Marco Wittmann – the #25 with Connor De Phillippi, Nick Yelloly and Sheldon van der Linde.

LMP2 – 10 Cars

Proton Competition will field Gianmaria Bruni, Fred Poordad and James Allen in the #55 Oreca with a further driver to be announced.

As reported earlier on DSC, Francois Perrodo will be joined by Ferrari factory HyperCar driver Nicklas Nielsen and Mathieu Vaxiviere in the #88 – Our friends at Endurance Info have confirmed Julien Canal will complete the squad

LMP3 – 9 Cars

The class with more unannounced gaps before today than any other:

The #36 Andretti Autosports Ligier sees Jarett Andretti joined by Gabby Chaves, Dakota Dickerson and Rasmus Lindh.

Riley Motorsports’ #74 Ligier has Gar Robinson together with Felipe Fraga, Josh Burdon and Glenn van Berlo.

The #85 JDC Miller Duqueine sees Till Bechtolsheimer, Luca Mars and Mason Filippi listed, the team has also confirmed Tijmen van der Helm will complete the squad.

The #87 FastMD Racing equine meanwhile sees Yu Kanamaru, James French, Nick Boulle and James Vance

Though not confirmed on the entry list, likely with admin around the entry still to be completed, MRS GT will field Guilherme de Oliveira, Danial Frost, Axel Vogel and Sebastian Alvarez in the #43 Ligier.

GTD Pro – 8 Cars

Today’s announcement of Mike Conway in the #14 Lexus completed the line-up in the class

GTD – 25 Cars

The #78 US RaceTronics Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 sees Misha Goikhberg, Loris Spinelli, Benja Hites and Marco Mapelli combine.

Turner Motorsports meanwhile field Bill Auberlen, Chandler Hull and John Edwards in the #95 BMW M4 GT3 with one driver TBD

The sister #95 sees Patrick Gallagher, Robby Foley USA, Michael Dinan and Jens Klingmann listed for the test
