Multimatic have made a pair of interesting senior appointments recently.
Ex Dallara, Lola and latterly Zytek Group Commercial man Nick Langley was announced today as the new head of Multimatic’s European motorsport business, overseeing the commercial activities and spearheading further expansion of the programmes and product sales of the Multimatic Engineering Group.
Multimatic’s Vice President, Larry Holt said:
“Nick’s appointment is a key addition to our commercial team and will enable Multimatic to strengthen its existing customer relations and further develop its motorsport/automotive business in Europe. I have personally known Nick for 20 years and admired the great work he has done in the motor racing and performance engineering sectors. I am confident that with his commercial skills, engineering background and easy charm he will soon be playing a key part in expanding the business aspirations of Multimatic.”
Nick Langley said:
“If I am totally honest whilst I have known of and even worked with Multimatic on projects over many years, it is only recently that I fully realized the true magnitude of the abilities of the Multimatic organisation. The facilities, technical capabilities and level of personnel within the company are truly world class. The range of projects undertaken from bespoke small volume prototypes to industrial scale mass production are awe inspiring. I feel it is going to be a challenging and rewarding experience to work with such a forward thinking, progressive company with world beating expertise in so many engineering disciplines.”

In addition ex Lola Managing Director and latterly Director of Sales & Program Engineering for Multimatic’s European mainstream automotive business, Jean Marchioni has been appointed as the General Manager of the company’s European Technical Centre (MTCe) in Thetford, Norfolk, UK.
The appointment comes as part of a reorganisation of the facility with the addition of a new engineering department, significant growth in the company’s Mechatronics Centre of Excellence and expansion into a new facility to accommodate a growing headcount.
Marchioni is tasked with enhancing the company’s customer focus in both the motorsports and production car industries.

“Jean worked for our group back in 2012 just after he left Lola and really got to know our products and customers. He has briefly filled a very important role on the mainstream side of Multimatic, with excellent results, but it is truly great to get him back to MTCe where he will be able to make a significant contribution to moving the company ahead as our business continues to grow at a rapid rate. Every member of our team is looking forward to the positive approach that he brings to everything he touches.”
Jean Marchioni said:
“It was a truly great experience to work for the Product Services organization of Multimatic and I learned a lot about the entire global product portfolio, which will be invaluable in my new role. However, I am extremely happy to be back on the motorsports and automotive engineering side, it is where I grew-up and what I know. I’m immediately going to go on the road to visit our customers and find out what they need as well as telling them what we have for them. The pace of technical development within Multimatic’s Engineering Group is spectacular and I am going to be extremely focused on communicating our capabilities and products to the industry.”
