Richelmi Completes Vector Sport ELMS Driver Squad

Stéphane Richelmi will complete Vector Sport’s ELMS LMP2 crew for the 2024 European Le Mans Series alongside Gabriel Aubry and Ryan Cullen.

The trio will crew the ex-FIA WEC #10 Oreca 07 Gibson as part of a record 22 car combined LMP2 and LMP2 Pro-Am field.

Monegasque driver Stéphane Richelmi returns to LMP2 and resumes a career cv in the class that includes wins both at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the FIA WEC Class Championship with Signatech Alpine in 2016 and in the Asian Le Mans Series with Jackie Chan DC Racing in 2017/18.

The 33-year-old has most recently been an Official Test & Development driver for the ACO and H24Project-led MissionH24 programme and will continue in that role alongside his racing commitments.

Gary Holland, Team Principal Vector Sport: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Stéphane to the team. He is a proven winner and I am sure will fit seamlessly into the team given that he has worked with a large number of the team members before. I feel we now have a fantastic balance of speed, consistency and maturity. Our driver line up consists of winners of the major endurance events including Le Mans 24 Hours, Daytona 24 Hours, WEC races and Asian Le Mans Series, and we fully intend to make our mark in ELMS.”

Stéphane Richelmi: “I am really pleased to join Vector Sport for ELMS alongside my role in the Mission H24 programme. They are a professional team and I will be reunited with people I have shared good memories with including Gabriel Aubry, who I have shared some previous successes with. We are all very motivated to chase podiums again and are looking forward to the first race already”.

Vector Sport has also confirmed that they will file n entry for the 2024 Le Mans 24 Hours.
