The ACO has revealed a set of changes and additions to improve the spectator experience at the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2025. These include new viewing banks, fan zones and screens at key parts of the circuit.
According to the ACO, the changes revealed have been made “in response to growing popularity” and act on “feedback from loyal fans”.
At Karting – the area overlooking the Porsche Curves – the ACO will create a new grass bank that can fit several thousand fans on the inside of the circuit, which will provide views of the cars as they exit the sequence of corners.
The area is located at the Circuit Alain Prost and will not require extra tickets to access. New facilities in that area also include a new fan zone with a big screen, places to eat and toilets. The nearest entrances to experience this area are the gates at Karting, CIK and Maison Blanche.
Close by, the fan area at Maison Blanche is also receiving attention, with a new grandstands and a big screen being installed. This area will require a separate ticket to enter.
And finally, at the start of the lap at Tertre Rouge, a new space for more than 10,000 spectators will debut at the 2025 edition of the race. The so-called ‘Chill Zone’, will feature places to eat and drink and a big screen to watch the race.
No additional ticket or upgrade is required to spend time in this area, which was previously a campground.
With the Tertre Rouge campsite now replaced, the ACO has explained that “loyal Tertre Rouge campers have been informed of the change and offered alternative pitches.”
General sale tickets for next year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans (11-15 June) can be purchased from Wednesday 13 November. ACO Members have an earlier presale period from Wednesday 6 November 2023.
