ISC Confirms Michelin Rubber

Michelin will partner the International Sports Cars Series as their official tyre supplier from the inaugural season in 2025.

The move means that the Nova NP02, named earlier this month as the ISC’s one-make platform, will see a known tyre supplier, the French tyre manufacturer already supplies rubber for the Ultimate Cup Prototype Series where the Nova dominates.

The announcement also sees confirmation of the involvement in the ISC of previous CEO of the Asian Le Mans Series Cyrille Taesch.

Matthieu Bonardel, Michelin Motorsport Director: “Michelin is thrilled to support this new championship, which is expected to attract many teams and drivers due to its unique sports concept, pitting nations against each other on the track.

“Thanks to its innovative franchise model, the International Sports Cars series enables Michelin to establish a direct dialogue with the teams, highlighting the qualities of its competition tyres, such as reliability, performance, and durability.

“By limiting the number of tyres used at each event and helping teams make the most of their tyres, Michelin offers the best value proposition for its partners as well as for the environment. The International Sports Cars series also allows Michelin to strengthen its presence in Asia and the Middle East, strategic growth markets for our business.”

Cyrille Taesch, International Sports Cars:

“Having Michelin supporting and endorsing the series at such an early stage is key for us. Not only does it show they believe in the concept, it also gives teams and other stakeholders even more confidence in the project. This is something we are very proud and grateful for.

“Our closed league/nation franchise-based championship offers a real opportunity for teams. Beyond sport and racing, they become part of a virtuous business operation which will also benefit Michelin in terms of B2B and market presence.”

Guillem Roux, Nova Proto President: “Nova Proto is very happy and proud that the NP02 has been chosen as the one make car for the new International Sports Cars series.

“Not only will the 2025 NP02 will have increased safety, the ISC spec car will be even more performing. It is a very exciting project which will also give us an opportunity to expand our footprint on new markets. Having Michelin aboard as the official tyre supplier gives even more strength to the project and perfectly make sense since the car has been developed on Michelin tyres.”
