A 23-car entry list for the first Intercontinental GT Challenge of 2025, the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, has been revealed.
The list of drivers across the field is hugely impressive and includes six 12-hour winners, Le Mans class winners, a reigning Nürburgring 24 Hours winner, champions from five major GT3-based championships around the world and MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi.
As in 2024, 19 GT3 cars will compete this year. However, the number of GT3 manufacturers has increased to seven, the most since 2020. Ferrari and Aston Martin return alongside Audi, BMW, Porsche, Mercedes-AMG and Lamborghini.
And with the Method Motorsport McLaren GT4 cars and KTM X-Bow in the Invitational class, the total number of the brand reaches nine.
The largest GT3 category is the Pro class, with nine entries. The Pro/Am and Silver classes feature three cars apiece while the Bronze category will be contested by four cars.
“Amidst a congested global calendar, we have maintained the same number of GT3 entries as last year while adding two returning manufacturers to broaden the variety within the field,” said Shane Rudzis, the event director.
“The depth of the field and the talent within is outstanding and there’s no doubt it’s going to provide another spectacular race.
“Interest for the race is high with a record number of campgrounds set to be filled, the grandstand is sold out and ticket sales are really motoring along, which is hugely exciting for all involved.
“We’re working closely with our partners at the Bathurst Regional Council and with the team at Meguiar’s to make this the best Bathurst 12 Hour yet.
“The eyes of the world will be on Mount Panorama, Bathurst next week as we launch into another chapter of Australia’s International Enduro.”
The 2025 Bathurst 12 Hour is set to take place on February 2nd.
