CLX Motorsport, formerly COOL Racing, has revealed the driver line-up for the #37 ORECA 07 Gibson which will compete in the ELMS’ LMP2 class this year.
The headline name is Acura MSR IMSA GTP driver Tom Blomqvist, who will make his ELMS debut as part of this programme.
He will share the wheel with 2024 FIA WEC LMGT3 champion Alex Malykhin and Harry King, who are currently competing together in the Asian Le Mans Series in Pure Rxcing’s TF Sport-run ORECA.
Previously, Malykhin revealed to DSC that King – his long-time friend and driver coach – would be joining him for his first ELMS LMP2 campaign this year.
At that point, Pure Rxcing was planning to partner with TF Sport for its first ELMS LMP2 campaign.
In the end, though, the team signed with the Swiss-flagged team to race under the CLX – Pure Rxcing banner as TF was not granted a second ELMS LMP2 class entry.
