Steller Motorsport’s 2025 test programme with their new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3Rs got underway on Monday at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain.
Both of the team’s brand new cars are on site in test liveries and were shaken down on Monday by Sennan Fielding and factory Corvette driver Alexander Sims.
Monday’s running saw the cars undergo systems checks, familiarisation runs for the team and a start to performance testing ahead of what looks set to be a two-car GT World Challenge Europe effort.
More than 500 trouble-free kilometres were completed.
Testing on Thursday and Friday will see several potential customer drivers aboard the cars.
The test will continue into next week with Fielding to be joined by Corvette factory driver Dani Juncadella as the team test the new-for 2025 Pirelli DHG rubber, this the very first date that the new tyres are permitted to be run.
Both Monday and Tuesday next week could also see additional potential customers aboard one or both cars before the team moves on to Paul Ricard where they are set to test on Friday and Saturday (21 & 22 February), plus Tuesday and Wednesday (25 & 26 February) with development and driver evaluation on the agenda in the south of France.
With the team’s 2025 programmes close to being made public there appear to be some remaining opportunities to test and race the Corvettes – For more details contact nick.dudfield@stellermotorsport.com
