2 Poles For 2 Seas At Snetterton

Optimim McLaren and Maliki Ginetta share GT4 spoils

2 Seas Motorsport dominated qualifying at a hot and sun-soaked Snetterton, securing both Race 1 and Race 2 pole positions.

The team’s #42 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo will start Race 1 from the front after Charles Dawson stunned the field with a late-session flyer.

In Race 2, the #18 sister car earned its second pole of the season thanks to a commanding effort from factory driver Maximilian Götz, who overcame tough competition from rival factory stars.

Luca Hopkinson claimed his first outright GT4 pole for Race 1 in the #17 Optimum Motorsport McLaren Artura GT4.

For Race 2, Jack Mitchell delivered pole for the #84 Mahiki Racing Ginetta G56 GT4 Evo.

Both qualifying sessions featured incidents and red flags, with the second session proving particularly difficult for both Optimum McLaren Arturas.

Amateur drivers took the spotlight in the opening GT3 qualifying session, where the top seven cars were separated by just one second.

He was followed by teammate Marc Warren, who topped the Pro-Am runners with a 1:55.693 in the #90 McLaren.

Josh Miller placed third with a 1:56.067 in the #84 Mahiki Ginetta despite a dramatic powerslide through Coram to avoid Hopkinson’s car.

Brandon Templeton secured fourth in the #14 Century BMW with a 1:57.040.

Ravi Ramyead exceeded track limits, avoiding a slide at Turn 1, losing tyre performance and his shot at pole.

The #71 Century BMW will start fifth, just ahead of Steven Lake’s #69 Mahiki Ginetta.

Jon Currie qualified seventh before hitting the barriers with the front-right fender of the #88 Mahiki Ginetta after oversteering out of Williams.
