Belgian outfit Boutsen VDS has announced that Gilles Magnus and Robin Knutsson will race for the team in GT World Challenge Europe in 2026.
The pairing will share a Porsche 911 GT3 R (992.2) in the Gold Cup class in both the Sprint and Endurance Cups, with Olivier Lainé’s squad switching to the Weissach-brand after two seasons spent running Mercedes-AMG machinery.
Magnus joins Boutsen VDS following two years at Saintéloc Racing, with whom the 26-year-old won the 2024 Gold Cup driver’s title. Magnus also made his DTM debut last year, with Aston Martin outfit Comtoyou Racing.
Knutsson, meanwhile, is a GT World Challenge Europe rookie, and steps up to the series having competed in one-make Porsche machinery for the past four seasons.
Boutsen VDS’ Gold Cup entry will be joined by a Pro class 911 GT3 R, which will be piloted by Alessio Picariello and two other unannounced Porsche official drivers.
In 2026, the Belgian team will be aiming to extend its GT World Challenge Europe title-winning run into a fourth consecutive season. With the line-up of Cesar Gazeau and Aurélien Panis, Boutsen VDS has won the season-long Silver Cup the past two years, whilst it also won the Gold Cup teams’ title in 2023.
The 2026 GT World Challenge Europe season begins at Circuit Paul Ricard on 11th to 12th April 2026.
