Today’s Asian Le Mans Series season finale has been Red-Flagged, following an incident involving the #25 Algarve Pro Racing ORECA 07 – Gibson of Michael Jensen and the #15 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 of Memo Gidley.
The pair made contact on the exit of Turn 8, which resulted in both cars impacting the left-hand side barrier.
Both Jensen and Gidley exited their vehicles under their own power.
The Red Flag was waved instantly, with 3 hours and 20 minutes of the race remaining.

Pole sitter Giorgio Roda is currently leading overall aboard United Autosports’ #5 ORECA, from the #20 Algarve Pro Racing entry of John Falb. The #4 CrowdStrike Racing by APR ORECA is on track to secure the title, in fifth overall, with the #47 Cetilar Racing entry in 13th.
GetSpeed sits 1-2 in GT, with its #9 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO of Steve Jans ahead of its #37 entry of Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi. The #69 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 Evo is third, two places ahead of its title rival, the #74 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 GT3, with the Swiss outfit still 17 points ahead as-we-run.
And in LMP3, the #26 Bretton Racing Ligier JS P325 – Toyota is out front, but unlike its opposition, led by the points-leading #17 CLX Motorsport Ligier, the Czech squad is yet to complete either of its timed pit stops.
A long delay is expected due to significant barrier damage, which will need repairing before this season’s Asian Le Mans Series finale can be resumed.
