Two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans class winner Inter Europol Competition has confirmed its LMP2 driver line-ups for the 2026 European Le Mans Series, as it seeks to add a first ELMS title to its previous IMSA and Asian Le Mans Series triumphs.
Nick Yelloly, Jakub Śmiechowski and Tom Dillmann will form an unchanged trio in the #43 ORECA 07–Gibson, whilst Bijoy Garg and Reshad De Gerus will race as a duo in the #34 ORECA.
2024 Le Mans LMP2 winner Garg is returning to the ELMS after a season away, having raced for United Autosports in 2024. The American has since competed with Inter Europol in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Michelin Le Mans Cup and Asian Le Mans Series.
De Gerus, meanwhile, is new to the Polish squad, with the 22-year-old, who scored pole position at Barcelona last season, joining from Duqueine Team.
“It is a privilege to join a team as successful as Inter Europol for the 2026 season,” De Gerus said. “We share the same goals and determination to maximise our potential and compete at the highest level. I believe we have everything we need to have a great season. I can’t wait to be in Barcelona for the first round of the year !”
Acura IMSA GTP ace Tom Blomqvist was previously listed with the #34 ORECA on the provisional ELMS entry list, but is no longer named by the team.
In 2025, Yelloly, Smiechowski and Dillmann proved to be one of the crews to beat in European LMP2 competition. As well as winning Le Mans, the trio finished second in five consecutive ELMS races, fighting back to the runner-up spot in the championship after mechanical woes saw them finish a lowly 23rd at the Barcelona opener.
“I’m really looking forward to being back with the same crew as last year,” Yelloly commented.
“We had a very strong season, finishing second in the championship and of course winning Le Mans. This year we want to go one step further and fight for the ELMS title, which I feel the team has been knocking on the door of for the past few seasons.
“We’ll also return to Le Mans as the defending champions and aim to fight for victory again. Having worked together already, we should be able to start the season stronger and get straight back into the rhythm of things, so I’m really excited for the year ahead.”
Team Principal Sascha Fassbender commented: “I’m really looking forward to the 2026 ELMS season. In car #43 we have the same lineup as last year, where we finished second in the championship and won Le Mans, so the objective is clear — to fight for the ELMS title. For car #34 we have two young drivers. With the two-driver lineup we will have some interesting strategic possibilities during the season, and I hope we can achieve strong results with both cars across the championship.”
