Garage 59’s Gold Cup-entered #58 McLaren GT3 Evo leads the 2026 24 Hours of Spa at half-distance, with the race currently under Full Course Yellow conditions for barriers repairs, whilst heavy rain has recently hit the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
Tom Fleming cycled to the front as other leading contenders served their five-minute technical pit stop under the FCY, before pitting himself at the 12-hour mark, with the car being pushed into the garage for its own technical pit stop as the race ticked over halfway.
The #3 Verstappen Racing Mercedes-AMG sits second, with the the top two in the Bronze Cup, the #991 Paradine Competition BMW and #74 Kessel Racing Ferrari, up to third and fourth respectively, and the #007 Comtoyou Racing Aston Martin completing the top five.
Best of those to have completed its technical pit stop is the #64 HRT Ford Racing Mustang, which successfully undercut the Winward Racing-run #48 Mann-Filter Mercedes-AMG that led before the most recent FCY was deployed. These two cars have rotated the lead amongst themselves for the past few hours, with the #64 Ford running slightly off-strategy to the #48 Mercedes-AMG which has been out front since the fifth hour.
The #80 Lionspeed GP Porsche, #46 Team WRT BMW and #50 AF Corse Ferrari complete the current top 10.
The #98 ROWE Racing BMW has fallen back overnight with a puncture, whilst the #2 Boutsen VDS Porsche has lost ground with a drive-through penalty after Morris Schuring made contact hit the #58 McLaren, which had Louis Prette behind the wheel at the time, at Turn 18 in Hour 9.
The #58 McLaren fell from third to sixth following the contact, but Fleming managed to climb back up to second behind Luca Stolz before the FCY with an impressive double-stint.
In the Silver Cup, the #5 Optimum Motorsport McLaren currently leads from the #52 AF Corse Ferrari and #65 HRT Ford Racing Ford, whilst the #999 GetSpeed Team PCX Mercedes-AMG is out front in Pro-Am.
The current FCY has been deployed following a major accident for Sarah Bovy at Blanchimont aboard the Pro-Am-entered #700 Comtoyou Racing Aston Martin. Race control has confirmed that the Belgian is okay, although barrier repairs are ongoing.
It’s been a challenging night for 2024 winner Comtoyou Racing, with Sebastien Baud having an off at Turn 15 aboard its #21 Aston Martin, and its #11 Aston Martin grinding to a halt out on circuit.
Garage 59’s #59 McLaren has been the most significant retirement of the night running so far, with Joseph Loake pitting terminally in the seventh hour with a right-front issue.
The #28 Haas RT Audi has officially retired after pulling off in Hour 4, whilst accident damage has eliminated both the #9 Pure Rxcing and #93 Ziggo Sport Tempesta Racing Porsches.
Moments before the 12-hour mark, the much-anticipated rain has arrived at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, with a sudden downpour drenching the circuit.
