The FIA will hold an International Court of Appeal in Paris on 28 July to hear an appeal from Grasser Racing Lamborghini concerning its exclusion from a first-place finish at the season-opening Blancpain Endurance Series race at Monza in April.
The appeal has been brought by the Austrian motorsport governing body on behalf of Austrian outfit Grasser and comes after the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium’s national court of appeal met in May and confirmed the Monza steward’s initial decision to exclude the #19 car due to a non-conforming fuel-rig restrictor.
Should the appeal be successful, the #19’s crew of Babini, Palmer and Mul would regain the 25 points they lost when they were disqualified from the win.
