News reaches DSC that a change in the timing for the 2016 European GP at Baku, Capital of Azerbaijan will now see the start of the race directly clash with the final hour of the Le Mans 24 Hours.
The start time has moved forward to 18:00 local, 13:00 GMT, believed to be to prevent a finish in full darkness.
That move however now directly impacts on the gentleman’s agreement for the F1 calendar not to clash with the Le mans 24 Hours race, this change adding further fuel to the fire lit by the scheduling of the race on the same day as the finish of the Le Mans race.
