Le Mans 24 Hours: By The Numbers

LMP1

1. It’s a fourth consecutive win for Audi.
2. Tom Kristensen, of course, extends his already record breaking win total to nine.
3. Allan McNish scores a third win and joins Woolf Baarnato on that total. He becomes the joint second most successful Briton, and the most successful Scot in the history of the race.
4. Loic Duval scores his first win on his Le Mans debut for Audi. Duval becomes the 29th winning driver for France, that equals the record held by UK nationals.
5. The #2 crew score 2 wins in 3 WEC starts so far this season.
6. Kyle Wilson Clarke scores his first Le Mans win as Race Engineer for the #2 car.
7. Michelin scores a 16th consecutive Le Mans win.
8. Toyota scores a podium finish on the first occasion that a TS030 completes a race over more than 6 hours.
9. It’s a fourth overall career podium for Stephane Sarrazin and a first for both Anthony Davidson and Sebastien Buemi.
10. Lucas di Grassi scores a podium finish as a rookie, its a second consecutive podium for Oliver Jarvis and a third career podium for Marc Gene.
11. Strakka score their second Le Mans class win, this year’s LMP1 Privateer win joining their 2010 LMP2 win, both with HPD and both with the same three man driver squad.

LMP2

1. Oak Racing score their 4th and 5th podium finishes at Le Mans with a 1,2 finish (includes Saulnier Racing).
2. It’s a first class win for all three men aboard the #35 car.
3. Martin Plowman wins the class as a rookie.
4. Nissan sweeps the podium.
5. Dunlop does likewise – a third consecutive LMP2 class win.
6. Lucas Ordonez and Michael Krumm both score their second Le Mans Class podium.
7. Olivier Pla, Alex Brundle, David Heinemeier Hansson and Jann Mardenborough all score their first podium finishes, Mardenborough as a rookie.

GTE Pro

1. Porsche’s first class win since 1998 as a factory team and as a marque since 2010.
2. Coupled with the GTE Am class win this scores the 99th and 100th class win at Le Mans for Porsche, over half of these have been scored by variants of the 911.
3. It’s a 3rd class win and a 4th class podium finish for Marc Lieb.
4. It’s a third class win too for Richard Lietz.
5. And it’s a second class win (including an overall win) and a sixth class podium finish for Romain Dumas.
6. It’s a second GT class win for Olaf Manthey’s team.
7. It’s a seventh class podium for Darren Turner and a second consecutive podium both for Darren and for Stefan Mucke too.
8. It’s a fourth podium finish both for Jorg Bergmeister and for Timo Bernhard.
9. Both Patrick Pilet and Peter Dumbreck score their first podium finishes at Le Mans.
10. Aston Martin Racing score a second consecutive GTE Pro podium with the Vantage GTE.

GTE Am

1. IMSA Performance scored a second class win, Raymond Narac has been aboard for both.
2. Jean Karl Vernay scores a class win in his debut and Christophe Bourret scores a second career class podium.
3. AF Corse score a double podium with second and third place, that secures a third consecutive year of podium finishes for the Italian team.
4. All six drivers aboard the pair of Ferraris score their first Le Mans podium finishes.
