K2 Will Be At Silverstone
"That was the lowest point we could have reached," says
K2 Race Engineering's Mark Winsor, of the fact that the team couldn't
make its maiden appearance at the Nurburgring 1000 Kms, with the
Pilbeam Judd MP91.
"We've had a much
more positive few weeks since then," he continues. "We've
got drivers confirmed for Silverstone in two weeks' time, we've
got two full days of testing booked, we're having a promotional
film made - everything is looking very positive.
Drivers for
Silverstone will be Peter Owen, Ben Devlin and Simon Pullan, the
latter making his debut in a prototype.
Pullan "couldn't
be more excited about racing the MP91 at the 1000 Kms." Recent
experience in a Porsche 962 should stand him in good stead.
All three drivers will
be present at Snetterton next week.
"We'll
be running all day, both days," says Mark Winsor. "We've
got some ground to make up now, so we'll be putting all the miles
on the car that we can and we'll be working hard at pit stops. We've
got to hit the ground running at Silverstone, it’s going to
be a big event for us."
