A bulletin just received in the press room at the Red Bull Ring sees the #19 Duqueine Engineering Ligier JSP3 lose its class win in LMP3 from earlier this afternoon after the stewards determined that the team had failed to observe the minimum reference time for the two mandatory timed pit stops.
The penalty assessed was 4 seconds added to the race time for the #19, understood to be the additional time that the car should have spent on pit lane.
That means that the #2 United Autosports Ligier, which finished 3.4 seconds behind the #19 on the road is promoted to the win and therefore retains its 100% winning record for the ELMS season thus far.
