Confirmation reached DSC moments ago that Rebellion Racing driver Bruno Senna, involved in an accident in Free Practice 1 at the exit of Copse corner, has suffered a fracture to his right ankle, and will play no further part in the Silverstone meeting.
Senna has been treated in the medical centre and fitted with a surgical boot to stabilise the ankle.
The Rebellion team has assessed the damage to the #1 R-13 Gibson since the incident and has confirmed that it looks set to return to track action tomorrow. The car will, therefore, miss free Practice 2 later today but be repaired in time to take part in Free Practice 3 tomorrow morning.
