Many of the organisation team for the 2018/19 Asian Le Mans Series were already on site in Shanghai this past weekend ahead of their season opener which gets on track this coming Thursday ahead of the 4 Hours of Shanghai on Sunday.
Series Boss Cyrille Taesch Wahlen was very visible in the paddock talking to some of the teams and drivers doing double duty and attending a charming retirement celebration for Clearwater Racing’s Mok Weng Sun who cut his endurance racing teeth in the Asian Series before the team moved to their FIA WEC adventures.
The Shanghai entry list is expected to be published midweek with some previously unannounced teams and star drivers known to be confirmed, substantial growth in all classes is expected to be confirmed.
Agile Group Holdings Limited will be the presenting partner for the 4 Hours of Shanghai.

Malaysian LMP3 squad Viper Niza Racing have confirmed that their Ligier JSP3 will be driven for the coming 2018/19 Asian Le Mans Series season by Team Owner Douglas Khoo and 2016/17 LMP3 Champion Nigel Moore (GB).
The team are also rolling out a brand new livery on their Ligier (though the livery concept is presented on a render of their older Adess).
Jackie Chan DC Racing
Jackie Chan DC Racing are amongst the last remaining substantial pieces in the 2018/19 Asian Le Mans Series jigsaw to slot into place.
Their pair of LMP3 entries will be confirmed in the coming days but DSC has now received confirmation that the team’s single ORECA 05 Nissan entry will be piloted at next weekend’s Shanghai race by the team’s FIA WEC all-Malaysian trio of Jazeman Jafaar, Weiron Tan and Nabil Jeffri.
