2020 SRO Racing Calendars In Full

American IGTC event switches from Laguna Seca to Indianapolis

Stephane Ratel has unveiled the 2020 calendars for the SRO’s various global racing series at the organisation’s annual pre-Spa 24 Hours press conference, here’s the full list, with notes:

2020 Intercontinental GT Challenge

Bathurst 12 Hours 1-2 February
Spa 24 Hours 23-26 July
Suzuka 10 Hours 22-23 August
Indianapolis 8 Hours 3-4 October
Kyalami 9 Hours 21-22 November

The new eight-hour event at Indianapolis replaces the California 8 Hours at Laguna Seca, which has been run for the past three years but failed to establish either strong grids or strong public attendance. A desire to stay away from circuits visited by IMSA has thus led to the decision to race on the Indianapolis circuit for 2020. The Indy event will also serve as the season finale of Blancpain GT World Challenge America (below).
