Italian news outlet Stop and Go is reporting that Cetilar Racing has pulled out of this weekend’s FIA WEC race at Sebring due to the spread of Coronavirus.
The AF-Corse run team will donate the money it saves from not making the trip to Italian hospitals instead.
With the team’s Dallara withdrawn, it brings the number of LMP2 cars entered in the race down to six and the full grid down to 29 cars. It also means the entire LMP2 class will be made up of ORECAs.
At present there is no official update on the status of the Sebring event surrounding this news. The teams on site are still set to take part in a two-day official test on March 14-15.
