After several seasons featuring the iconic colours of Gulf Oils, GPX Racing have revealed a similarly iconic backer fro their ‘new’ look for 2021, with a 50th anniversary tribute to another classic Porsche, the martini liveried 917K.
The Dubai-based team, now working with ART Grand Prix, is set to start their 2021 GT World Challenge Europe campaign this weekend at Monza.
Pierre Brice Mena, Team Principal: “We are honoured to bring these iconic colours back to life and to commemorate the Martini Racing Porsche 917’s victory in the 1971 24 Hours of Le Mans. This 917 K also won the Index of Performance and shattered the distance record.
“For us, this is a bottomless well of inspiration at the very moment we’re planning to take on new sporting challenges and participate in the endurance racing battles of the future.”
