As promised after the last round of the FIA WEC the fifth Aston Martin Vantage GTE has been withdrawn from the remainder of the Championship the race by race entered #98 car will remain in North America, believed to be for testing and evaluation ahead of potential use in the 2014 TUSCC.
In the meantime the #97 ‘Pro’ car will see Fred Makowiecki join Darren Turner and Stefan Mucke as the pair look to get their Championship challenge back on track.
The #99 car meanwhile sees Paul Dalla Lana miss Fuji, but Richie Stanaway and Pedro Lamy will race together.
In ‘Am’ none other than Bruno Senna joins Christoffer Nygaard and Kristian Poulsen in #99 and over in the #96 car AMR respond to the post Austin regulation change that mandates two Silver or Bronze rated drivers by adding British GT standout Jonny Adam to the regular Jamie Campbell Walter/ Stuart Hall pairing.
John Gaw promised us a potentially eyecatching reshuffle and that’s exactly what we have got!
The reaction of the remaining GTE AM paddock will be ….. interesting!
