The 2027 Prototype Cup Europe calendar has been released, with the Creventic-organised LMP3 series expanding to five rounds for its sophomore season in its current guise.
Prototype Cup Europe will support Creventic’s headline 24H Series on at least four occasions next year, with the venue for the fifth round to be confirmed. This marks a change from 2026, when it only supported the 24H Series for two of its four rounds.
This means that the series will debut at the Red Bull Ring and Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in 2027, whilst at least one of Monza and the Nürburgring will drop off the schedule.
Mugello will once again host the season opener, whilst the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps has moved from being the finale to the second round of the season.
The Red Bull Ring comes next, ahead of an unconfirmed fourth round, with the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya hosting the season finale in September.
“We are excited to announce next year’s calendar. The step from a national series to a European Championship has been well received by our teams and drivers,” said Orry Lichtenberg, Prototype Cup Europe series coordinator.
“We are excited to visit new venues and be part of the 24H Series weekends, which provide plenty of track time thanks to the track days held ahead of each event.
“We already have commitments from several teams for the upcoming season, and we are confident that the grids will continue to grow in 2027. We are also considering some small adjustments to the regulations to improve the racing and the overall competition between the different line-ups.”
