To celebrate Porsche Motorsport and Bosch’s long-time partnership as manufacturer and technical supplier, today Absolute Racing has revealed Dorian Boccolacci, Alessandro Ghiretti, and Ayhancan Güven’s livery for the 50th running of the Suzuka 1000km on Sunday, 13 September.
The #7 Porsche 911 GT3 R will carry the corporate colours of the Bosch Group in a striking rainbow-like pattern, which Bosch called the “supergraphic” when it was first revealed in 2016 as the core of the company’s new brand identity. It runs from red at the front, to many shades of blue, to green at the rear.
This car will compete in the Pro class alongside the #8 AO by Absolute Racing Porsche, which carries the new Bushi Rex livery, a tribute to Rexy’s legendary samurai ancestor.
Reigning DTM champion Güven and reigning Porsche Supercup champion Ghiretti make their first appearances at the Suzuka 1000km in two weeks, while Boccolacci, a graduate of the Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific (PMAP) Selected Driver programme, will make his second start.
Absolute Racing entered two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs in last year’s Suzuka 1000km, finishing second and fourth overall with the latter winning the Bronze class.
