Autosport are reporting this morning that AF Corse are confirmed as returning to defend their World titles in 2014 with a two car FIA WEC GTE Pro entry with Ferrari factory drivers.
Antonello Coletta, head of Ferrari’s non-F1 sporting activities has also confirmed that there are no plans for Giancarlo Fisichella to leave the effort.
Autosport’s Gary Watkins has also teased out confirmation that Ferrari is looking carefully at the potential for a future LMP1 effort incorporating the tech within the 2014 Formula One engine regulations, but that whilst any potential entry would almost certainly be a Ferrari engine and chassis there are no immediate plans to bring this to fruition as yet.
