Ahead of this weekend’s round at the Nürburgring, the ADAC has revealed next year’s DTM calendar, with no major changes scheduled for the Germany-based series next year.
The DTM will once again be contested over eight rounds in 2027, at the same venues that have featured on the calendar since the ADAC took over as promoter in 2023.
The most significant change is a switch of dates between Motorsport Arena Oschersleben and Zandvoort, with the former moving up to be the second round of the season in May, whilst the latter moves to an early August slot.
The season will once again begin at the Red Bull Ring, Austria on the final weekend of April, before visits to Oschersleben, Lausitzring and Norisring complete the opening half of the campaign.
Zandvoort, the Nürburgring, Sachsensring and Hockenhiemring then make up the second half of the schedule.
The 2027 DTM season is set to clash with two FIA World Endurance Championship rounds, with the Red Bull Ring and Sachsenring rounds being held on the same weekends as the 6 Hours of Silverstone and Fuji respectively.
The Nürburgring and Hockenheimring meetings, meanwhile, overlap with the IMSA Sportscar Championship races at VIR and Petit Le Mans, whilst Oschersleben clashes with the new Texas 8 Hour, which is part of next year’s Intercontinental GT Challenge.
“The excitement in the grandstands show that the DTM is on the road to success and is hugely appealing to spectators,” said ADAC Motorsport director Thomas Voss.
“We have seen a 13% growth in the number of visitors in the first five events of this year. We want to carry that momentum into the 2027 season and are sticking with tried-and-tested venues that are popular with visitors.
“However, we are varying the order. With eight top-class race weekends, racetracks steeped in tradition, and a balanced mix of national highlights and international outings, we are once again able to offer fans, teams and partners a calendar that is right out of the top drawer.”
