2026 marks 10 years since the first-ever Michelin Le Mans Cup race at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium and there will be a total of 45 entries for this year’s event, as the series returns from its summer break for the fourth round of the campaign.
24 cars are entered into LMP3, with 11 in LMP3 Pro/Am and 10 in GT3.
With two podiums from three races, Daniel Frost and Enzo Peugeot head the LMP3 drivers’ championship standings on 62 points in the #85 R-ace GP Duqueine D09-Toyota, and have a 12-point advantage over their nearest rivals, Lucas Fluxá Cross and Matus Ryba in the #19 Brutal Fish by Campos Ligier JS P325-Toyota.
Le Castellet winners Colin Queen and Giovanni Maschio are third on 43 points after failing to finish last time out in Le Mans in the #50 23Events Racing Ligier.
Arthur Rogeon and August Raber moved up to fourth in the #12 Brutal Fish by Campos Ligier after winning the first ever three-hour Road To Le Mans race from pole position, scoring a maximum 39 points to get their title aspirations back on track after failing to score any points in Barcelona or Le Castellet.
Lenny Ried and Philip Lindberg also scored some useful points in Le Mans, with the #20 High Class Racing Ligier finishing second to score 27 points, moving the pair up to fifth in the standings at the halfway point of the season.
Belgium will be represented in the LMP3 category by Vic Stevens, who will be racing the #70 Team Virage Ligier alongside his British teammate Jude Peters. Belgian team Ajith RedAnt Racing will field the #36 Ligier for former Formula One star Narain Karthikeyan and his teammate Aditya Patel.
There are three driver changes in LMP3, with Bruno Ribeiro and Mitchell van Dijk joining Bretton Racing to replace James Winslow and Augustin Bernier, who raced the #26 Ligier at Le Mans. Ribeiro, notably, started the season as part of CLX Motorsport’s European Le Mans Series LMP3 crew, before exiting that line-up before Imola.
Romain Boeckler will race the #97 CLX Motorsport Ligier alongside David Droux instead of Cédric Oltramare.
The 11-strong LMP3 Pro/Am field is led by reigning champions Eric De Doncker and Gillian Henrion, with the Franco-Belgian pairing heading to Motorsport98’s home race on 72 points, 12 ahead of their nearest rivals. De Doncker and Henrion won in Le Castellet and then had a perfect weekend in Le Mans, winning Road To Le Mans from pole position.
Three podium finishes from the first three races have kept Steve Parrow and Mikkel Gaarde Pedersen in contention for the 2026 title, with the #66 Rinaldi Racing Ligier on 60 points, eight points ahead of the #62 Bretton Racing Ligier of Barcelona race winners Jacek Zielonka and his teammate Léo Sami Robinson.
Australian duo Fraser Ross and Georges Nakas finished third in Le Mans, with the GG Classics Ligier lying in fourth in the standings on 37 points, seven points ahead of the second Rinaldi Racing Ligier of Felipe Fernandez-Laser and Stefan Aust.
George King is replacing Shawn Rashid in the #34 Inter Europol Competition Ligier and will race alongside double pole position holder Alex Bukhantsov in Belgium.
The full-season LMP3 entry has been bolstered for Spa by a new team, Allay Racing, with Swedish brother Linus and Emil Hellberg set to share the #48 Ligier.
There are two driver changes in the GT3 class. The first change is championship leader Valentin Hasse Clot will be racing in the United States on IMSA SportsCar Championship duties, and he will be replaced by Marius Fossard in the #10 Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo. Fossard will be competing alongside Barcelona and Road To Le Mans race winner Philipp Sager in Belgium.
Sager and the Racing Spirit of Léman team hold a comfortable 27-point lead at the top of the driver and team GT3 standings, with Matteo Cressoni and Reinhold Klein their nearest rivals on 51 points in the #54 Dinamic GT Porsche 911 GT3 R (992.2).
The #21 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo is currently in third place, with British driver Oscar Lee Ryndziewicz being joined by Lorenzo Ferrari, who he raced with in Le Castellet in May. Ferrari is replacing Giacomo Altoe who raced the #21 Ferrari in Barcelona and Le Mans.
Reigning champions Alessandro Cozzi and Eliseo Donno are lying fourth in the GT3 standings on 40 points in the #51 AF Corse Ferrari.
Round 4 of the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup will take place at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday 22 August.
