One of the most surprising aspects of the Le Mans 24 Hours entry list announcement was the lack of a Risi Competizione entry on the full entry, this despite the fact that the team had an entry nomination from the ALMS.
The Risi team have since explained that the entry was rejected after the Selection Committee noted that the car and drivers nominated by Risi were actually the Krohn Racing owned chassis, and the Krohn Racing drivers. Since no transfer of entries is permitted the nomination was reallocated as a reserve entry.
Perhaps as worthy of note is the fact that the Krohn Racing entry proper sits at the bottom of the GTE Reserve List. Perhaps not for the first time the ACO is sending a message here!
Meanwhile the team is working hard to arrange the required repairs to its #62 Ferrari, heavily damaged in the huge crash between Memo Gidley and Matteo Malucelli at the Rolex 24 Hours.
The damage is so severe that there is no chance of the team making the Sebring Winter test but they firmly intend to continue with their full season TUSCC campaign at the 12 Hours of Sebring next month.
