The latest in DSC’s ‘Driver’s Eyes’ laps previews this weekend’s British GT Silverstone 500, with Beechdean AMR GT4 racer Ross Wylie talking us round a lap of the 3.66 mile Grand Prix circuit via the Base Performance simulator.
With 38 cars scheduled to take part in Sunday’s three-hour encounter, knowledge of the track will be key to success and the BPS simulator allows instant and uninterrupted access to the circuit, without the logistical challenges and cost of traditional testing. It’s surely no coincidence that Ross and Beechdean AMR teammate Jake Giddings lead the GT4 standings after three races, given the virtual mileage clocked up on the Banbury-based simulator.
Time is available on Base’s GT Sim at all times of the day, with engineering support and driver coaching available too, at rates that will bring a smile to your face.
