Spa 24 Hours: Hours 6 & 7 Report

2219: The race has been under a red flag for almost an hour. The official statement on the condition of Marcus Mahy, driver of the #111 Kessel Racing Ferrari, is that his medical condition has been stabilised and he has been transferred to hospital by helicopter.

2222: The race will restart under the safety car shortly.

2229: Top 10 under the safety car: 3, 26, 84, 2, 77, 1, 86, 19, 79, 90

2240: Green flag and we’re back to racing on lap 99 – now in full darkness.

2243: Mies pits the race-leading #3 Audi to serve the penalty for entering the pit lane when the red light was on – #1 Audi of Vanthoor inherits the lead.

2254: Pro-Am 1-2-3 after 17 and a half hours is the #38 MP Aston (seventh overall with Turner currently at the wheel), the #52 AF Corse Ferrari (10th overall with Wyatt at the wheel) and the #90 Villorba Corse Ferrari (12th overall with Montermini at the wheel).

2257: Leader Vanthoor has just lapped the sixth-place #84 Mercedes – just five cars on the lead lap now.

2313: Leading Gentlemen Trophy car is the #49 AF Corse Ferrari, currently with Perrodo at the wheel and sitting 30th overall.

2325: A slightly early routine driver-change stop for the leading Audi – Vanthoor out, Winkelhock in, car temporarilty down to fifth overall.
