From the Pirelli World Challenge field at Miller Motorsports Park both Ryan Dalziel and Nic Jonsson will race at next weekend’s FIA WEC round at the Circuit of the Americas, both in one-off entries (ESM’s LMP2 HPD and Krohn’s GTE AM Ferrari respectively.
Mike Skeen meanwhile is the only PWC GT driver currently slated to start the TUSCC race on the same bill (in a Park Place GTD Porsche).
The World Challenge grid of 22 cars features 18 full GT3 spec cars from eight different marques.


If things go as planned today will see the very last race (in factory hands at the very least) for the the Cadillac CTS.V.R, the World Challenge specific racer due to be replaced by Cadillac’s forthcoming GT3 spec car for 2015, the development car currently in France for the FIA Balance of Performance test at Michelin’s Ladoux testing facility. It’s almost the end of an era for World Challenge then with just the new Real Time Racing Acura TLX (and a tiny handful of privateer cars) remaining outside the GT3 spec fold.

It was good to catch up too with ex Trackspeed Team Manager Ricky Martino, now looking after the impressive Effort Racing team – Ricky was keen to hear news of what was going on at look out for an interview with the team owner very soon on DSC with exciting news of potential future programmes.
