There was confirmation late yesterday that Richard Lietz will not be fit to drive in either the TUSCC or FIA WEC races this weekend. Nick Tandy was already standing by to fill in for Richard in the event that his recovery from the fractured arm suffered at VIR had not healed sufficiently.
News also reached us yesterday that Charlie Putnam is in hospital having suffered significant injuries in an accident on Monday. The Fall-Line GTD driver was reported by the team as recovering, but having suffered serious injuries. The car has been withdrawn from this weekend’s event.
There was very significant rainfall across the Austin area yesterday evening and overnight with flash flood warnings in place across the region. There is no news as yet of any impact on the circuit or its environs.
