After last weekend’s British GT Championship finale this weekend sees the Nurburgring 1000kms, the finale of the Blancpain Endurance Series, and the end of a breakthrough season for Dave Bartrum’s Motorbase Performance run Oman Racing Team.
A series of excellent results saw the team clinch the British GT Teams Championship after Michael Caine and Ahmad Al Harthy ran at the front of the pack throughout the season in their Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3.
Stephen Jelley joins the squad as usual for the Blancpain outing this weekend with the team planning to double up in both the British and Blancpain Endurance Series in 2015:
Oman Racing Team Principal David Bartrum said:
“The plan is to try and get a good result at the Nurburgring and set ourselves up for next year in Blancpain. We’re looking to go to two cars next year in the Blancpain so we’re looking for drivers to go in the second car. We’re staying with Ahmad and his sponsors and partners and looking to keep two cars running in the British GT as well. It would be good to get a decent finish at the Nurburgring, but it is important for us to finish the race as well after the disappointment of Spa. A good finish in Germany would be a great way to end the season.”
