The rain that held off this morning came back with a vengeance for the second 90 minute Free Practice session this afternoon, reduced visibility and standing water eventually causing the session to be red flagged 17 minutes early with the weather and the gathering gloom effectively bringing night time conditions half an hour early, Christian Ried caught out by the conditions as almost the last man venturing out, bringing the #88 Porsche back in after a quick and ultimately harmless spin!

Despite the conditions the order was much as we saw this morning, the #8 Toyota the fastest with a 1:49.134 early in the session ahead of the sister car and then the Audis again with the Porsches still trailing, the #14 car in particular sparking dramatically over the bumps even in the streaming wet.

LMP2 again saw the #26 Ligier Nissan lead the times, a 1:57.053 heading both ESM HPDs.

GTE again saw an Am car heading the overall order, in fact AM GTEs finished 1,2 with Paulo Ruberti putting the #90 8Star Ferrari on top with a 2:04.5, the Prospeed Porsche was next up with the #97 Aston Martin fastest of the GTE Pro runners but 1.5 seconds down on Ruberti as the runners became progressively more cautious in the rapidly deteriorating conditions.
