Bahrain is another WEC venue that has grasped the principle that bringing schoolchildren in to the race meetings will pay dividends now and into the future.
Three visiting groups of children from local schools were in the paddock today, aged from 7-14, meeting the teams, looking at the cars and generally seeding the potential for future fans and participants – More of this please WEC and the host circuits.
The replacement tub for the #1 Audi arrived here at the circuit at 3am this morning – The car made FP1 and actually topped the times for a while though suffered a brief electronic glitch that left Lucas di Grassi stranded on track before the car was restated to complete the session.
