07:12: Kannan to the pits and drops to third overall.
07:15: CORE has a down LR tire and is forced to circulate around to the pits, but at least they have a 5 lap margin in the class. Not so good for the 33 Viper, which is stopped on the track in the infield. This brings out Yellow number 14.
All three of the top cars return to the pit lane. The nose of the 02 is removed and the crew adjust the ducting for the brake. As a result of getting out of the pits quicker, the 10 WTR Corvette leads again with Ricky Taylor driving.
In GTLM, it is Corvettes running 1-2. As they had just stopped the ‘vettes opted to not return, but both the BMW and the Falken Porsche opted to return and take extra time to go over the cars.
As a result of this yellow, the Action Express Corvette running in 4th returns to the lead lap.
Bill Riley verified the 33 Viper problem is indeed an engine issue and that it simply shut off. The car is in the garage and being worked on.

Taylor leads over Kannan by not much with Hand slightly further back.
In GTD, the 93 Viper still leads with Dom Farnbacher driving, holding a 2 second lead over Segal in the 63 Ferrari.
A harmless half spin for Westbrook entering the banking. He continues…
Paul Miller Audi has a messed up nose. Haase gets that car back to the pits from 4th place for repairs.
Cruel break for Falken Porsche, oil pressure issues cause the car to be moved behind the wall for hopefully repairs.
07:57: Yellow number 15 and counting…
Courtesy of the wave by rules, the Action Express Corvette is in the hunt for the lead and actually gains the lead in a sprint out of the pits.
8:15: The 4 Corvette has slight nose damage from an incident in traffic. It looked like Gavin got into the back of a PC car and also had side to side contact with the Magnus Porsche. This drops the 4 Corvette 2 laps down on the remaining 2 class leaders.
8:20: And then there was 1. Spengler went into the Bus Stop too deep and made the Z4 a lawn mower and sign breaker. After a stop to address the agricultural excursion, the BMW was back on track, but looked to be a bit evil in handling. Instead of 4 GTLM cars on the lead lap, there is now only 1.
Up front, the top 3 are within a second.
8:31: Madison Snow, running 5th in GTD lightly finds a tire wall, but is able to recover and continue.
8:37: BAR1 is in the grass, but Brian Alder is able to drive the car out to prevent a yellow.
Falken Porsche retired.
8:45: Kannan has faded a bit because of traffic and Pruett is still about 9 seconds back. In GTD, it is the 22 AJR Porsche to the lead over the 93 Viper.
8:51: all 3 leaders to the pits and they come back out in the exact same order, except that Pruett did not pit and inherits the lead, at last temporarily. Next time by Pruett pitted, but unlike the 5, the 01 did take on tires.
8:57: Magnus smoking badly, and the yellow comes out for the 64 Ferrari hit the wall outside of turn 4. Longo was at the wheel.
Oh, by the way, the Falken Porsche was retired. Crankcase issue.
The wave by allows the BMW and the 4 Corvette to gain a lap, the BMW back on the lead lap and the 4 Corvette 1 lap back. Mags in for Briscoe in the 3 and Farfus in for Spengler.
