Hans Reiter confirmed to DSC yesterday that the #0 Lamborghini for Marcello Hahn will not be present at COTA – the Brazilian opting to concentrate for the moment on his son’s racing rather than his own.
Nicky Catsburg meanwhile will still campaign the older (and more proven) FL2 version of the Reiter-built Lamborghini Gallardo.
The new Extenso R-EX version will though be present at the Blancpain test next week at Paul Ricard with Albert Thurn und Taxis – the German likely to feature in the Blancpain Sprint Series this season.
The parallel programme with the Reiter-developed GT4 coupe version of the KTM X-Bow meanwhile progresses steadily, with a customer already in place for the first car, set for the GT4 Euro Series, with a second factory run car also in prospect.
Outings in other Series are a distinct possibility too as the car looks for further customers, with the car looking set for a potentially interesting future in endurance racing courtesy of its 2 litre turbo engine and potentially impressive fuel economy.
Hans describes the car as having a Lamborghini-like wedge profile, very low slung and compact, we’ll see the car in the carbon and metal very soon.
The Sareni Camaro, also a Reiter Engineering project meanwhile also progresses though Hans expressed some exasperation with a hugely troubled Australian GT Championship debut for the pair of cars now ‘Down Under’.
“It was a combination of mistakes that teams made and some that we made, not a great weekend!”
There is though some potential for a car in ADAC GT Masters with some quite considerable star quality likely to feature on the driving front.
