Larbre Close To Decision On 2016 WEC GTE Pro Corvette Effort

Gerard Neveu used an enigmatic form of wording on WEC TV last night referring to the prospects of GTE contenders for the 2016 FIA WEC.

That’s likely because of a hard run from Larbre Competition to run their Corvette C7R in the LM GTE Pro class next season, not the first time that Jack Laconte has attempted to mount a Chevy Pro class effort but certainly one of the most serious.

DSC spotted the Larbre Team Principal in deep conversation with Wayne Taylor in the COTA paddock, a meeting understood to be the latest step in an attempt to secure the package necessary to mount a sustainable and credible effort in the all Pro class.

Laconte-Taylor

Ricky Taylor has raced with Larbre in recent years in both the GTE AM and LMP2 classes and the Taylor brothers both raced a GTE Pro Corvette at CoTA in the WEC race last season with Tommy Milner (below).
