By contrast Andrea Bertolini’s GTE Am title win makes it six for the Italian after wins in the International Superstars Series and four FIA GT title wins in Vitaphone Maseratis.

Timo Bernhard scored his fifth major title to go along with class and overall wins at Le Mans, Daytona, Sebring, Petit Le Mans and the Nurburgring 24 Hours!

Viktor Shaytar is the epitome of a driver utilising the ACO ladder. After taking the 2013 GTC class title with SMP Racing he went on to back to back titles in the ELMS taking the GTE crown in 2014. The 2015 GTE am Championship in the WEC makes it three out of three.

Richard Lietz scored his fourth Championship title after prior wins in the Le Mans Series and International GT Open plus a class win at Daytona.

Aleksey Basov took a first major title back in 2007 when he won the European Touring Car Cup at the wheel of a Lada. Just two years later, he had his maiden GT race and in 2012, took victory in the Ferrari Challenge Europe. The GTE AM win this year makes three.

Roman Rusinov’s LMP2 title is his second Championship win after taking the N-GT title in the 2004 Le Mans Series.

Brendon Hartley too scores a second, his last being back in 2007 when the Kiwi won the Eurocup Formula Renault.

Julien Canal scores his second FIA WEC title, having taken the inaugural GTE AM win in 2012 with Larbre’s Corvette effort, the same year saw him complete a hat trick of Le Mans class wins with Larbre in GT1 and GTE AM Machinery.
