One late change to the ELMS entry for the weekend’s action at Imola could turn out to be a very significant one. Swedish Super GT ace and 2015 ELMS Champion Björn Wirdheim is set to stand in for Tracy Krohn in the #40 Krohn Racing Ligier.
Krohn has withdrawn from the #40 Krohn Racing Ligier Nissan due to an injury suffered in training at home in the USA, that “he is not permitted to take part in a sporting activity before 25 May”.
That completes a rapid looking trio with Nic Jonsson the Silver rated driver joined by Olivier Pla and now Wirdheim too, the Swede competing in a second consecutive race for the team.
