Alex Lynn today confirmed to DSC that he will take part in the remaining rounds of the 2016 WEC season with Manor in its #45 Oreca 05 after his series debut with the team next week in Fuji.

“I went to CoTA for Lone Star Le Mans,” Lynn told DSC this morning. “I had a look round and had a number of conversations, but a particularly good one with Graeme Lowdon, who told me he wanted to get the second car out for the rest of the season. It’s good to be a part of that.”

Next week in Fuji will not be Lynn’s first time driving a prototype however, as he tested for Toyota at the back end of last season at the Bahrain Rookie Test.

Lynn, who won the GP3 championship in 2014, is currently Williams F1’s test driver, alongside his GP2 campaign with DAMS. He currently sits 9th in the GP2 Drivers Championship after taking a pair of wins and two further podium finishes earlier in the season.
