The recently retired Head of Audi Sport, Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich was revealed during the ACO Press Conference in Paris today as a newly appointed ACO Special Advisor.
After overseeing restructuring of Audi Sport through 2017 Ullrich finally stepped down at the end of the year.
It’s a very different role for Dr. Ullrich after a two decades at the helm at Ingolstadt and more recently Neuberg that secured huge success for Audi.
“I’m honoured to work with the ACO team; I’ve worked with them, for quite some time. We worked together for years, very intensely, and we created the WEC.
“I had to make a very hard decision as I had to leave endurance racing, which was my true love that I deeply appreciated.”
