GRT Grasser Racing Team topped the time sheets in FP1 for the third round of the Blancpain GT Series at Brands Hatch, Kent after Ezequiel Perez Companc, driving the #19 Lamborghini Huracán he shares with Andrea Caldarelli, lapped in 1:24.754.
Second quickest was the #17 Belgian Audi Club Team WRT in which Stuart Leonard put in a 1:24.979 in the first 20 minutes of the one-hour session.
Completing the top three times was the #63 GRT Lamborghini of Christian Engelhart and Mirko Bortolotti after Engelhart put in a 1:24.986 as the session drew to a close.
Quickest of the Pro-Am entries was the #32 Team Parker Racing Bentley Continental GT3 in which Ian Loggie put in a 1:25.273.
The Silver class time-sheets were topped by the #90 Akka ASP Mercedes-AMG GT3 after Nico Bastian lapped in 1:25.485.
The practice session as interrupted after 24 minutes when Alexey Korneev, at the wheel of the #35 SMP Racing by Akka ASP Mercedes-AMG GT3 had heavy contact with the barrier at Turn 8 causing a red flag. The session resumed with 19 minutes remaining.
The second 60-minute practice session of the day takes place at 12:30 local with qualifying beginning at 16:00.
