Tracy Krohn & Nic Jonsson, A Pictorial Le Mans Retrospective

Next up in our short series of pre-Le Mans photo retrospectives from John Brooks is a look back at record that is set to be extended further this year – Tracy Krohn and Nic Jonsson will start their thirteenth consecutive Le Mans 24 Hours as a pairing in 2018 – a history together that has seen three class podium finishes, all bar one of the starts made in either GT or LMP2 machinery liveried in the unmistakeable ‘Krohn Green’.
This year’s effort sees the pair back in an LMP2 car, fielded by Eurasia Motorsport and joined by Andrea Bertolini.
2006 – White Lightning Racing – Porsche 911 GT3 RSR – With Jörg Bergmeister – DNF
2007 – with Risi Competizione and Colin Braun – Ferrari 430 GT2 – 19th overall – 2nd in GT2
2008 – Risi Competizione and Eric van de Poele – DNF
2009 – same team, same car – but much better result – 22nd overall – 3rd in GT2
2010 – again with Risi and van de Poele – but another DNF
2011 – Final year with the 430 GT2, but now withj the Krohn Racing outfit and Michele Rugolo – DNF
2012 – Krohn Racing with the new 458 GT2 and Rugolo again – 25th overall and third in GTE AM
2013 – Ferrari 458 GTE with Maurizio Mediani – DNF
2014 – Ben Collins joins the dynamic duo – 30th overall – 10th in GTE Am
2016 – Same chassis, but now the Nissan engine – unchanged line-up – 22nd place – 13th in LMP2
2017 – DH Racing wore the Krohn colours – Either Nic has has a ‘lifestyle’ moment of that’s Mrs Krohn!! – Andrea Bertolini joins in the Ferrari 488 GTE – 42nd place – 13th in GTE Am
