6 Hours Of The Glen: Wednesday Paddock Notes

The first teams arrive at The Glen ahead of this weekend's big race

DSC is on-site at Watkins Glen this week for the IMSA NAEC 6 Hours of The Glen, and thus will be providing full wall-to-wall coverage of the meeting.

Here’s DSC’s first set of paddock notes:

The weather turns in time for first unloads

Heavy rain in the early morning around Watkins Glen had stopped by 9 am in time for the first teams to start unloading in a still quite sparsely populated paddock.

The first car off its truck was the #32 United Autosports Ligier, set to be campaigned by Phil Hanson, Paul di Resta and Bruno Senna this week. Elements of the team have been in Indianapolis at the Andretti facility for a week prepping the JS P217, there are some changes to come in the coming days though!

Also on the ground was the #93 Porsche 911 RSR, set to be the #911 here, fresh from Le Mans and looking bizarrely rather ‘road-car’ standard without its rear wing! The sister car was still on the truck.

Park Place Motorsports (featured), Spirit of Race (below) in appropriately patriotic Italian colours and the 3GT Lexus pair are already here too.

Thunderstorms are set to be a possible feature for the next couple of days before bright sunshine and soaring temperatures reach us in time for the race weekend.

Yet to arrive in the paddock is the latest team to reveal their livery for this weekend, Corvette Racing will add some patriotic touches to both C7.Rs.
