Porsche’s pair of IMSA GTLM-class 911 RSRs are set to compete at Petit Le Mans this weekend sporting 1998 heritage liveries, as a nod to the 1998 Le Mans-winning 911 GT1.
It also mimics the livery run on the identical 911 GT1 model which started from pole position at the inaugural running of “Petit Le Mans” 20 years ago.
This follows Porsche running heritage colours at the Le Mans 24 Hours this year as part of the brand’s 70th anniversary celebrations.
DSC will be posting two retro 1998 Petit Le Mans galleries in the coming days, featuring of course, the 911 GT1 (below) that originally ran the livery in Porsche will race with this year.
